What to expect

This full-day Mount Qingcheng & Dujiangyan tour (without night view) offers a comprehensive exploration of Sichuan’s natural beauty and ancient engineering heritage. The tour begins with an early morning pick-up around 6:00 AM from locations within Chengdu’s Third Ring Road, with complimentary pick-up and drop-off provided. Exact pick-up times vary by package and hotel location, and guests are advised to stay near Tianfu Square for convenience. After a comfortable two-hour drive, you will explore the Dujiangyan Scenic Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, visiting key landmarks including South Bridge, Lidui Park, the Lying Iron Pole, Zhangsong Ginkgo, Baopingkou, Feisha Dam, the Fish-mouth Water-dividing Dike, Anlan Cable Bridge, Erwang Temple, and Yulei Pavilion, gaining insight into the world’s oldest functioning irrigation system. Following a short transfer, enjoy a local lunch featuring Ba Er Duo Sha Guo Chuan Chuan Xiang. In the afternoon, continue to Mount Qingcheng, the birthplace of Taoism, with visits to the Front Mountain area, Yuecheng Lake, Shangqing Palace, and Laojun Temple, surrounded by tranquil forests and mountain scenery. The tour concludes with a return drive to Chengdu and drop-off around 4:20 PM.
