The breathtaking Harura Falls in the Bay of Islands is one of the most peaceful and serene fresh water destinations in all of Australia. Harura Falls was New Zealand's first river port, and an ocean path or sea road for Maori tribes. Legend has it, a water monster (or 'taniwha') dwells in the lagoon below the falls. Your guide will share all of this local history with you, including this Maori legend, while also guiding you through the untouched nature of New Zealand. Refreshments will be provided once at the waterfall, where kayakers are encouraged to take a swim.
