What to expect

Amanohashidate・Ine Tourist 2 Day/Kyoto Tango Amanohashidate, Ine Tourist 2-Day Pass Amanohashidate View Land/Amanohashidate View Land (Hiryukan) Miyazu Bay is in the northern part of the Kyoto prefecture. The cause of this special natural landscape is the compression of the earth's crust. The bay is a sandbar topography formed on the sea and was called "Tango Amanohashidate" by Japanese. It is also called the "Three Views of Japan" together with Aki's Miyajima (now called Itsukushima) and Mutsushima. On Wenzhu Mountain, there is an observatory where you can see Amanohashidate, tourists can choose to take a chair lift or a monorail to it. The Amanohashidate seen from the observatory looks like a dragon flying in the sky, so it is also called "Hiryukan". From here, you can see the vibrant scenery of Amanohashidate. Besides, there are Ferris wheel and amusement facilities suitable for all ages. Located in the northern part of Kyoto Prefecture, Japan, Miyazu Bay in Miyazu City has a special natural landscape. Due to the crustal movement, sandbar topography was formed on the sea, and in Japan it is called Tango's Amanohashidate, along with Aki's Miyajima (current Itsukushima) and Mutsu's Matsushima, it is called "Japan's Three Views." The name Amanohashidate comes from the fact that when you look back at the two hills of Kasamatsu Park at the northern end of the sandbar and Hiryukan at the southern end of the sandbar, with your back to the sandbar and your head down between your legs, the sandbar appears to stretch toward the sky at an angle. There is an observatory overlooking Amanohashidate on Mt. Monju, and on top of the mountain there is a Ferris wheel and other attractions that people of all ages can enjoy. Amanohashidate seen from there is called "Hiryukan" because it looks like a dragon dancing in the sky, and you can see the vivid scenery of Amanohashidate. The observation deck is accessible by lift or monorail. The location of Amanohashidate Sightseeing Boat/Amanohashidate Sightseeing Boat The location where tourists can take the sightseeing boat to and from the Amanohashidate Wenzhu area(Chionji Temple, Amanohashidate Station) and Ichinomiya area (Motoise Konojinja Shrine, Kasamatsu Park). You can also rent bicycles here. Bicycle rentals are also available at the dock for tourist boats that run round-trip between the Amanohashidate Monju district (Chionji, Amanohashidate Station) and the Ichinomiya district (Moto Ise Kono Shrine, Kasamatsu Park). Kasamatsu Park An observatory where you can overlook Amanohashidate. Amanohashidate can be seen in the shape of “一”, the Chinese character for “one.” If you turn your back to Amanohashidate and bend over to view the amazing landform from between your legs, it looks like a bridge to heaven. This position is called “Matanozoki” in Japanese. At Kasamatsu Park, you can also meet Kasabo, the park`s cute pinecone mascot character! If you’re lucky, you may even be able to get a picture with him! From the observatory overlooking Amanohashidate, you can see the oblique shape of Amanohashidate. If you look at Amanohashidate in the matanojoki posture (bowing your head between your legs), it looks like a bridge across the sky. When you come to Kasamatsu Park, the pine tree named "Kasamatsu" and the observatory famous for "Mata-no-joki" are recommended places. Take the cable car and lift from the cable car station "Fuchu Station" next to Kono Shrine to Kasamatsu Park. The bus bound for Seongsangji Temple also leaves from Kasamatsu Park.
