What to expect

Is one of China's best-preserved highland wetlands, with over 3,000 colorful pools scattered across its core area. The main attraction features uniquely structured and vividly colored travertine formations.

Huanglong National Scenic Area (Huanglong Scenic Area), located in Songpan County, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province, is a well-preserved highland wetland in China. Covering an area of 700 square kilometers and situated 100 kilometers from Jiuzhaigou, the scenic area ranges in elevation from 1,700 to 5,588 meters. Its core zone is adorned with over 3,000 colorful pools. The main attractions feature uniquely structured and vibrantly colored travertine landscapes, including Huanglong Valley, Danyun Gorge, Munigou Valley, Xuebaoding Peak, the Red Army Long March Monument Park, Huanglong Middle Temple, Five-Color Pond, Zhaga Waterfall, Pearl Lake, and Huanglong Travertine Pools.
