Locals love calling it ‘their digital sanctuary’—a place to unplug, reconnect with wonder, and experience Singapore’s identity as a city of innovation and creativity.

Perfect Timing

When to visit for the best experience

Weekday mornings between 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM offer the most peaceful and photogenic conditions, with light crowds and soft natural lighting filtering through the Marina Bay Sands atrium. Avoid weekends and school holidays if you prefer fewer people—queues can form outside peak hours, especially near the paper airplane zone.

Photography Guide

Capture the perfect shots

  • Capture the best light in the Crystal Universe just after opening—when visitor numbers are low, reflections are clearer and light trails are more defined

  • Use burst mode near interactive waterfalls and digital flowers to catch fleeting moments of transformation

  • No flash or tripods allowed; keep phones on silent to preserve the meditative atmosphere and avoid triggering digital disruptions

Cultural Etiquette

Respect local customs and traditions

Singaporeans value quiet consideration in public spaces—avoid loud conversations or shouting inside the installations Dress modestly with covered shoulders and knees; while not strictly enforced, respectful attire aligns with local norms Tipping is unnecessary and uncommon in Singapore; staff appreciate polite greetings and a simple terima kasih (thank you in Malay)

Special Events & Experiences

Enhanced experiences and seasonal highlights

  • TeamLab often introduces limited seasonal overlays during major festivals like Chinese New Year and Deepavali, featuring culturally inspired digital motifs

  • Singapore’s Great Singapore Sale (June–August) occasionally includes discounted combo tickets with nearby attractions like Marina Bay Sands SkyPark

  • Late-night openings (usually monthly) allow extended access with fewer crowds and special lighting arrangements

Important Guidelines & Safety

Essential safety information and guidelines

  • Stay aware of surrounding visitors in crowded zones—some projections extend onto walkways and can create subtle tripping hazards

  • Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times for their safety and to protect sensitive equipment

  • If you are sensitive to flashing lights or motion, inform staff upon entry—they can guide you to calmer installation zones
