Perfect Timing
When to visit for the best experience
The best time to explore The Habitat is early in the morning right after it opens at 9:00 AM, when the weather is coolest and the wildlife is most active. While Penang enjoys a tropical climate year-round, visiting during the drier months from December to February offers the most comfortable trekking conditions with less rainfall.

Bring a macro lens or use your smartphone portrait mode to capture the intricate details of the ancient ferns, mosses, and exotic insects along the 1.6km trail.
Cultural Etiquette
Respect local customs and traditions
While there is no strict dress code, wearing modest and comfortable activewear is recommended for walking through the natural reserve. Important Guidelines & Safety
Essential safety information and guidelines
-
Stay strictly on the marked pathways and canopy bridges, and do not climb or lean over the safety railings at any point.
-
Keep a safe distance from the wild macaques and langurs, and never feed or attempt to touch the animals to prevent aggressive behavior.
-
Be mindful of your step on the forest trail, especially after rainfall, as the wooden boardwalks and natural paths can become slick.
