The Multi-Country Problem
Combining two or three countries in one trip is the best way to make a long-haul flight pay off — but it multiplies the planning work. How many days does each country deserve? Which cities? What order? Most travellers give up and book a rigid group tour instead.
The HolidaySG AI Trip Planner was built for exactly this. Here is a real walkthrough using a 9-day Japan + Thailand trip.
Step 1: Select Both Countries
On the first screen, countries are grouped by continent. Tap Japan, then tap Thailand — both cards get a checkmark and appear in your selection bar at the top. You can add a third or fourth country if you are feeling ambitious.
Step 2: Allocate Your Days
Next, the planner asks how many days you want in each country. Use the +/− controls: we gave Japan 5 days and Thailand 4 days. The total trip counter updates as you go.
Step 3: Pick Cities — Per Country
The planner then walks through each country in turn. For Japan we ticked Tokyo and Osaka; for Thailand, Bangkok. Prefer to keep it open? Skip the selection and the AI covers each country's highlights.
Step 4: Trip Details
Set travellers, start date, travel style and interests. These genuinely change the result — "family" prioritises theme parks and wildlife, "culture" leans temples and museums.
Step 5: The Merged Itinerary
The result is one continuous plan: Days 1–5 in Japan, Days 6–9 in Thailand, each day broken into morning, afternoon and evening slots with real attractions, photos and live prices. An AI pass optimises the order within each day so you spend time exploring, not backtracking.
Book, Share, Go
Every attraction with a price tag can be added to your cart and booked immediately — tickets arrive by email. Use the Share button to send the plan to your travel companions on WhatsApp or Telegram, or Download PDF for an offline copy.
