What is a flight reservation?
A flight reservation is a held booking on a flight that shows your intended travel dates and route. Many visa applications ask for proof of onward or return travel, and a reservation is often accepted for that purpose.
Is this an airline ticket?
No. A flight reservation is not an issued airline ticket and does not entitle you to board a flight. If you need to travel, you must buy a ticket separately.
How does the manual reservation service work?
You submit your travel and traveller details and pay the service fee. Our team then arranges a reservation through an authorised travel supplier where available, and sends you the reservation document.
How long does processing take?
Most requests are completed within 24 hours. We will contact you if anything about your request needs clarifying.
Can I request a specific airline?
Yes, you can tell us your preferred airline and times. We will try to accommodate preferences, subject to availability.
Is visa approval guaranteed?
No. Visa decisions are made solely by the embassy or visa authority. We cannot guarantee visa approval, and we cannot guarantee that any particular authority will accept a reservation. Please check their requirements.
Will I receive a booking reference?
Where the supplier provides one, yes — the reservation document shows the booking reference and, if applicable, the date and time the reservation expires.
Can I buy the actual airline ticket through HolidaySG?
Not through this service. This service covers the reservation document only; buying an airline ticket is not included.
Are the reservations issued by a certified agency?
Yes. Our reservations are issued through an IATA Accredited travel agent — accredited by the International Air Transport Association to promote and sell international air passenger transportation.
How long is the reservation valid?
A reservation is typically held for up to one week, though the exact validity depends on the airline and fare conditions. The expiry date is shown on the reservation document.
