Originally built as a private garden in the Ming Dynasty, Yu Garden is one of the most famous classical gardens in Shanghai. Built by high-ranking official Pan Yunduan as a retreat for his father, the garden embodies the elegance and sophistication of Jiangnan-style gardens. It was once considered the finest garden in southeastern China.
✨Yu Garden showcases the exquisite beauty of traditional Chinese architecture and landscape design. Explore winding paths, discover historical relics, and admire well-preserved Ming and Qing furniture and calligraphy.
