How can I get from Colombo to Ella by train, and is it scenic?
I've read a few blog posts about how can I get from Colombo to Ella by train, and is it scenic but they all seem outdated.

Take the intercity train from Colombo Fort to Ella; the journey takes about 6‑7 hours and is famous for its tea‑plantation vistas, waterfalls, and mountain scenery. Reserve a seat in advance for the observation car to get the best views, and bring snacks as food options are limited onboard.
