How do I get visas for Thailand if I am not a citizen of an ASEAN country?

For non-ASEAN citizens, you need to apply for a visa in person at a Thai consulate or embassy in your home country. Online visa applications are available for some countries, but you still need to pick up a visa sticker from the consulate and may have to pay a visa fee in cash upon arrival in Thailand.
