Is Georgia (the country) safe for solo female travellers and how cheap is it really?

Tbilisi and the wine regions feel very safe, with friendly locals and good English in hostels and cafes. Budget around 40–50 USD per day including a private room, transport and meals with wine. Solo female travellers report very few issues, just normal big-city awareness at night.
