Planning to visit South Korea soon and K-ETA application timing - apply right before trip or weeks ahead keeps coming up in my research.

Apply at least 1-2 weeks before travel even though K-ETA is valid for 2 years. Processing usually takes 24-72 hours but occasionally delays happen. Keep your application confirmation screenshot even after approval, as some airlines have been checking it at check-in despite the visa waiver.
