Phnom Penh to Kampot by local bus is a gorgeous 5-hour ride through rice paddies. Kampot itself is chill, affordable, and has the best pepper in the world. The Bokor Hill Station day trip is haunting and beautiful. Far fewer tourists than anywhere else in the region.
