Where’s a better place to go in Uzbekistan, Samarkand or Bukhara?

My travel buddy and I can't agree on this, so asking here.
Any input appreciated.

Both Samarkand and Bukhara are amazing, but Samarkand offers more ancient architecture and a distinct blend of architectural styles. Bukhara is less crowded and still vibrant.
