Ultimate Changi Airport & Jewel Guide
Rain Vortex, Canopy Park, dining, shopping, and making the most of your Changi layover.
Rain Vortex — World's Tallest Indoor Waterfall
The 40-metre Rain Vortex is Jewel's centrepiece and the world's tallest indoor waterfall. It runs continuously during opening hours and is free to view from multiple levels. The best vantage points are Level 1 (ground floor, close up) and Level 5 (Canopy Park, looking down). The evening light and sound show runs at 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM.
Canopy Park Attractions
Canopy Park (Level 5) houses paid attractions: Manulife Sky Nets (bouncing and walking nets suspended 25m above ground), Mirror Maze, Hedge Maze, Canopy Bridge (glass-floored walkway), and Discovery Slides. A bundle ticket covers all attractions for better value than individual tickets.
Free Things at Jewel
Shiseido Forest Valley (5-storey indoor garden walk), Rain Vortex viewing, Petal Garden (seasonal flowers), and the extensive food and retail options. You can easily spend 2–3 hours at Jewel without buying a single attraction ticket.
Changi Airport Transit Tips
Transit passengers can visit Jewel with a valid boarding pass (re-clear security to return). Allow at least 2.5 hours for a comfortable Jewel visit. Changi also offers a free city tour (2.5 hours) for transit passengers with 5.5+ hours between flights — sign up at the Transit Lounge.
