Getting to Sentosa for Free

Walk across the Sentosa Boardwalk from VivoCity (free, 10 minutes). The Sentosa Express monorail costs S$4. Cable car from Mount Faber or HarbourFront offers the most scenic entry (S$35). Driving incurs a S$6–8 entry fee.

Best Beaches on Sentosa

Palawan Beach is the most family-friendly with calm waters and the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia walkway. Siloso Beach is livelier with bars and water sports. Tanjong Beach is the quietest and most resort-like — best for sunset.

Free Things to Do

Fort Siloso (WWII museum, free entry), Sentosa Nature Discovery walk, Palawan Beach playground, Southernmost Point walkway, Merlion trail, beach volleyball courts, and the nightly Crane Dance light show. Sentosa is surprisingly full of free activities.
