Byodo-in Temple is a temple garden in the style of pond spring boat tour in the Heian period. Its site is in front of the Uji River and is far from Mount Asahi. During the Zhenguan reign (859-877), Yuan Rong (822-895), the minister of the left, built a garden and built a villa accordingly. In the 4th year of Changde (998), the Regent and Minister of State, Fujiwara Michi, rebuilt the garden here. The cherry blossoms, azaleas and lotuses in the garden are fragrant and blooming every year. Byodoin was listed by UNESCO as a World cultural heritage. When the temple was first built, many buildings were built in the spacious temple. Most of it was later destroyed by fire. Now only the Phoenix Hall, Guanyin Hall and Bell Tower are preserved. Among them, the more famous one is the "Phoenix Hall". The reason why it is called "Phoenix Hall" is because there is a phoenix statue on the roof. The building stretches in the direction of the two wings, and it looks like the phoenix is about to spread its wings.
