Available Facilities
Perfect Timing
When to visit for the best experience
Spring and autumn offer the most spectacular scenery across Kyoto, Osaka, and Kobe, with cherry blossoms and vibrant fall foliage. To avoid peak crowds at popular attractions, try to activate and use your pass on weekday mornings right when venues open.
Photography Guide
Capture the perfect shots
-
Capture the neon-lit streets of Osaka and the illuminated landmarks of Kobe during the blue hour just after sunset for dramatic, vibrant shots.
-
When visiting traditional temples or shrines in Kyoto with your pass, look for framing opportunities using torii gates or wooden eaves to add depth to your photos.
-
Always check for photography restrictions inside specific museums or dining venues, as flash and tripods are often prohibited in indoor cultural spaces.
Cultural Etiquette
Respect local customs and traditions
When using your pass for dining experiences, remember to say itadakimasu before eating and avoid passing food directly from chopstick to chopstick. If your pass includes entry to traditional onsens or temples, be prepared to remove your shoes at the entrance and follow local modesty guidelines.
Special Events & Experiences
Enhanced experiences and seasonal highlights
-
Time your visit for the Gion Matsuri in July to see spectacular traditional floats parading through Kyoto, easily accessible with your pass transport options.
-
Experience the magical Kobe Luminarie light festival in December, where the city streets are transformed into dazzling illuminated art installations.
-
Enjoy the vibrant Tenjin Matsuri in Osaka during late July, featuring stunning river processions and spectacular fireworks displays.
Important Guidelines & Safety
Essential safety information and guidelines
-
Keep your digital pass and personal belongings secure in crowded areas like Dotonbori or Kyoto Station, as pickpocketing, while rare, can happen in dense tourist hubs.
-
Stay hydrated and carry a portable fan during the hot and humid Japanese summer months, especially when using outdoor transport or walking between attractions.
-
Ensure you have travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, and note the locations of local pharmacies or clinics near your chosen venues.
Visitor Information
Entry Fee
The pass offers a highly cost-effective bundled rate compared to purchasing individual tickets for premium attractions, dining, and transport. Child and infant pricing tiers are available, making it an excellent value for families looking to explore the Kansai region on a budget.
Visit Duration
Since the pass covers three distinct options spread over seven days, the duration of each visit depends entirely on your chosen attractions, ranging from a quick one-hour meal to a half-day cultural tour. Prioritize booking time-slotted venues or popular observation decks early in the day to maximize your itinerary if you are short on time.
Accessibility
Accessibility varies by venue, but most major attractions and transport options included in the pass offer wheelchair access, elevators, and barrier-free pathways. It is highly recommended to check the specific accessibility details of your three chosen facilities on the official digital guide before your visit.

About Have Fun in Kansai Pass (3 Options in 7 Days)
Opened on February 26, 2019, Sotei Onsen in Osaka is a large hot spring theme park in Kansai. The hall is decorated with the theme of the Azuchi-Momoyama period when Hideyoshi Toyosu unified the world from 1573 to 1603. Here, you can rent ninja costumes, princess costumes, or cute yukatas from the Azuchi-Momoyama period to walk and shop in the building. Every corner is full of strong Japanese flavor. It is a new popular spot for punching in and taking pictures. In addition, there are many interesting and wonderful activities and performances to watch. In addition to the common male and female pools in Japan, there are also Imi-furo, open-air hot springs, and carbonic acid hot springs with a view of the garden. The characteristic hot springs and saunas that change every day, and the weak alkaline natural hot spring "Beautiful Skin No Yu" gushing out from 1,000 meters underground. In addition, there are rock baths, saunas, etc. There are 7 options for rock baths alone. There are also 15,000 manga magazines with a wide variety of books in the museum, and the sofa lounge with a personal TV can be used free of charge. In addition, there are many kinds of massages such as Thai and Japanese that you can enjoy at your own expense. Importantly, there are also izakayas, restaurants, and famous sake and Japanese souvenir shops from all over Japan.

Hot Springs
Solaniwa Onsen’s pride and joy are the baths that overlook our expansive Japanese garden, where you can enjoy any of nine bath types including outdoor baths, comprising pure hot spring water brought up from 1,000 meters below the earth’s surface. The spring water is hypotonic and weakly alkaline, and it has a high level of heat. Solaniwa Onsen’s hot spring baths will ameliorate nerve pain, muscle pain, joint pain, bruises, sprains, hemorrhoids, and sensitivity to cold, not to mention helping those recovering from exhaustion or just trying to live healthier!
