- Spot Introduction -

Mishima Skywalk is the longest pedestrian-only suspension bridge in Japan, located in Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture. The suspension bridge is a whopping 400 meters long, and is also approximately 70 meters high. It is a popular spot that gives easy access to some of the best tourist areas in Japan, such as Izu and Hakone. On clear days, many visitors are happy to catch a glimpse of Mt. Fuji with the suspension bridge in front of it.

  • Izu Fruit Park

Pick and eat your fill of strawberries, melons, mandarin oranges, and other fruits. The park building also offers sweets such as strawberry omelets made by a pastry chef and souvenirs, making it a recommended place to stop by on your Izu trip.

  • Mishima Taisha Shrine

Mishima Taisha Shrine is the most famous power spot in Izu. The main hall of Mishima Taisha Shrine is one of the largest in Japan, along with another popular power spot, Izumo Taisha Shrine. In fact, Mishima Taisha Shrine enshrines Kotoshironushi-no-Mikoto (i.e., Ebisu-sama), the son of Okuninushi-no-Mikoto (i.e., Daikoku-sama) who is the main deity of Izumo Taisha Shrine, and the two great shrines have a strong relationship.
