What to expect

Prince Kung's Palace Museum near Houhai, is the largest palace from the Qing Dynasty. It was once the residence of Minister Heshen during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty. Heshen is a famous corrupt official in Chinese history. After Prince Gong moved in, it was renamed Prince Gong's Mansion. Prince Gong's Mansion is a relatively well-preserved palace from the Qing Dynasty. There are more than 30 different types of buildings here. At one point, the garden in the mansion was one of the most exquisite mansion gardens in Beijing.

  • Tickets for Prince Gong’s Mansion Museum are pre-sold 10 days in advance until sold out.
  • The Prince Gong’s Mansion Museum implements a real-name system for ticket purchases, and all visitors need to enter their identity information to pre-purchase.
  • Each valid ID card (Mainland Chinese ID card, mainland travel permit for Hong Kong and Macao residents, Taiwan compatriot permit, residence permit for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents, passport, permanent residence ID card for foreigners) is limited to purchase per entry day a ticket.
  • Individual users are limited to purchasing 5 tickets per order, and each user can apply for two orders per day.
  • Visitors with Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents, Taiwan Compatriot Permit, Residence Permit for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Residents, Passports, and Foreigner Permanent Residence ID Cards should select the corresponding certificate type and fill in their personal information when purchasing tickets online. Please redeem the admission voucher with your valid IDs at the general service center.
  • Soldiers need to choose the type of military ticket and fill in their resident ID card information when purchasing tickets online. Please redeem the admission voucher with your valid IDs at the general service center.
  • Tickets for Prince Gong’s Mansion do not include non-public areas such as the bat hall and theater building.
