Unravel the secrets and get to know the history of the Snagov Monastery, your first stop, built by one Vlad the Impaler of Wallachia. A popular tourist destination, the church is said to be the resting place of Dracula. Continue on to the beautiful Caldarusani Monastery, a 17th-century abbey built by Matei Basarab along the forested region surrounding Snagov. It is widely known as one of the largest and oldest Wallachian monasteries in history, which has archived an important collection of religious objects and books. Cap off with a visit to the Mogosoaia Palace, a monumental building constructed in Brancovenesc style by former ruler Constantin Brancoveanu, which is an interesting mixture of Venetian and Ottoman elements.
