※For those who have purchased tickets online, please walk up the stairs directly to the ladder entrance. At the Taiping Ladder Ticket Gate, have the staff scan the QR code before entering.
1. The insured amount for personal injury liability of Taiping Ladder Public Accident Liability Insurance is NT$6 million per person.
2. It has been announced that Class A large passenger buses are prohibited from traveling from Meishan to Taiping. Only Class B minibuses and ordinary small passenger cars are allowed to pass.
3. For safety reasons, access to the ladder is prohibited during closed hours. Anyone entering without permission will be held responsible for the consequences.
4. Visitors who are obviously unconscious or drunk are strictly prohibited from entering. In addition, those who are afraid of heights, have high blood pressure, heart disease, asthma, pregnant women or other physical conditions that are not suitable for entry are not allowed to enter for safety reasons.
5. There are steps in front and behind the ladder. For safety reasons, strollers and wheelchairs are not allowed to enter.
6. To maintain the quality of the visit and tourist safety, visitors are requested not to smoke during the visit and are also prohibited from bringing pets, explosives or other items that may damage the facilities.
7. It is prohibited to hold an umbrella, wear high heels, run, jump, make noise, climb, sway, march in unison, or throw objects on the ladder. Visitors are advised to enter in order and follow the designated route. Visitors are prohibited from entering when the red warning light is flashing. Visitors on the bridge should follow the instructions of the staff and leave as soon as possible.
8. In the event of typhoons, earthquakes, heavy rain, strong winds, lightning strikes, or other weather conditions that are unsuitable for ladder access, the company may suspend access and announce the reopening date after confirming that the facilities are safe.
9. Except as provided in the "Regulations on Suspension of Offices and Classes Due to Natural Disasters," if the Chiayi County Government decides to suspend public notices or class start and end times, or if other operating units determine that the park's actual conditions pose a significant risk to visitor safety and require full or partial closure, the organizer may postpone or cancel the activity with advance notice and contact. The organizer reserves the right to modify, terminate, or alter activity details for any unspecified matters. Please check the official website before departure. The Taiping Suspension Bridge is situated at an altitude of approximately 1,000 meters in Meishan Township, Chiayi. Visitors are required to book entry slots in advance as daily capacity is limited to manage pedestrian flow. The bridge operates on a one-way traffic system, leading pedestrians from the entrance toward the Taiping Old Street area. Due to the high elevation, weather conditions can change rapidly, often resulting in heavy fog or mist during the afternoon.

The Taiping Ladder, spanning Taiping Mountain and Guishan Mountain, is Taiwan's longest single-span pedestrian suspension bridge. Locals call Turtle Back Mountain "Guishan," 36 Bays "Snake Mountain," and Five Peaks "Dragon Mountain." Surrounded by mountains, Taiping is like a lotus nest. The Taiping Highway, as we see it today, was paved by hand by nearly 40,000 men during the Japanese colonial period. It was the first road built in the Chiayi mountainous area and was widened in 1986.
