About Yamazato at The Okura Prestige Bangkok (Michelin Guide)
Yamazato at The Okura Prestige Bangkok is an award-winning Japanese fine dining destination that earned a coveted spot in the inaugural Michelin Guide Bangkok. Indulge in authentic Kaiseki Ryori, sashimi flown daily from Tokyo's Toyosu market, and theatrical teppanyaki—all within an elegant setting that celebrates centuries of Japanese culinary tradition.
Local Legends & Stories
Kaiseki Ryori traces its roots to the Japanese tea ceremony of the 16th century, where host Sen no Rikyū served simple meals alongside matcha as a way to enhance the ceremonial experience. Over time, it evolved into one of Japan's most refined culinary traditions, emphasizing seasonality, balance, and artistic presentation.

Cultural Etiquette
Respect local customs and traditions
