About EasyKart Samui (Outdoor Go Kart)
Race through the lush landscape of Koh Samui at EasyKart Samui, where thrilling go-karting meets family fun and corporate team-building excitement. Since 2004, this Chaweng Lake venue has offered Asia's safest karting environment—perfect for beginners, kids, and seasoned drivers alike—with modern electric karts, professional safety briefings, and a vibrant track that winds past tropical greenery and the scenic lake.
Local Legends & Stories
The site once served as part of an old fishing village access road, and locals still refer to the lake area as ‘Baan Na’—a nostalgic nod to traditional coastal life. Though redeveloped for recreation, traces of the area’s quiet pastoral charm remain in the surrounding greenery and the serene lake views.
Must Do Experiences
-
Race around the purpose-built 500-meter outdoor track with friends or family
-
Try the kid-friendly kart (max 25 km/h) designed for ages 6 and up
-
Capture a photo at the signature EasyKart finish line archway
-
Join one of the occasional themed race nights with glow-in-the-dark elements
Hidden Gems
-
The track features a surprise short-cut zone known to seasoned drivers
-
Early morning slots often include a quiet lake view with minimal fog
-
Behind the main track is a tucked-away photography nook overlooking Bophut's rice fields
-
The staff occasionally offer mini racing clinics for first-time racers—ask about them
What Makes it Special
-
Asia’s safest go-karting environment with certified safety marshals and regular equipment checks
-
Fully electric karts delivering instant torque and zero emissions—ideal for Koh Samui’s eco-conscious visitors
-
Adaptable track design that seamlessly accommodates beginners, kids, and experienced racers without separate courses
Available Facilities
Perfect Timing
When to visit for the best experience
The best time to visit is during morning hours (10:00–12:00) when temperatures are cooler and the track is less crowded, especially on weekdays. Peak season runs from November to February, coinciding with Thailand’s dry season, but July–August also offers pleasant weather with fewer tourists—ideal for a relaxed karting experience without long waits.
Photography Guide
Capture the perfect shots
-
Best photo spot is the wooden footbridge near the lake entrance—capture racers mid-turn with the water in the background
-
Golden hour (late afternoon, ~4:30–5:30 PM) provides warm lighting and softer shadows for vibrant action shots
-
Photography is allowed in the spectator areas and finish line zone only; no drones permitted without prior approval
Cultural Etiquette
Respect local customs and traditions
Thai culture values politeness—greet staff with a gentle wai (hand pressed to chest) and avoid pointing feet at people or objects Tipping isn’t expected but appreciated for exceptional service; a small THB 50–100 note left with a smile goes a long way Avoid loud or disruptive behaviour, especially near local residential streets adjacent to Soi Reggae
Special Events & Experiences
Enhanced experiences and seasonal highlights
-
Monthly Themed Race Nights happen on full moon weekends with LED-lit karts and DJ sets
-
The annual EasyKart Samui Family Fun Day takes place during Songkran (April) with water fights and kids’ mini-kart workshops
-
December holiday season features festive lights and ‘Santa Kart’ photo ops with hot cocoa at the cafe
Important Guidelines & Safety
Essential safety information and guidelines
-
The track uses real-time lap timing and speed sensors; always obey the green/yellow/red flag system displayed at all corners
-
First Aid-trained staff are stationed at both the pit area and finish line—proceed to them immediately even for minor scrapes or dizziness
-
Ensure all loose items (phones, glasses, wallets) are secured in lockers before suiting up—lost items cannot be retrieved mid-race
Visitor Information
Entry Fee
The standard admission starts at THB 474.88 per person and includes a kid kart race, safety gear, and lockers. Family packages (2 adults + 2 children) are available for THB 1,690 and include a group photo. No age-based senior discounts, but children under 6 pay a reduced rate of THB 299 with adult supervision.
Visit Duration
Plan for 60–90 minutes for a full experience, including briefing, races, and photos. If short on time, prioritize the main race (20–25 minutes) and the family karting session (15 minutes)—skip the gift shop unless you're looking for a souvenir. Early weekday visits let you fit in a second race before the afternoon crowds arrive.
Accessibility
The main entrance, ticket counter, cafe, and restrooms are fully wheelchair accessible with ramps and wide doorways; however, thekarting track itself is not navigable by standard wheelchairs due to uneven asphalt and track width. Staff can arrange a guided track tour from the viewing platform.
