It’s an engaging blend of entertainment and education perfect for families, nature lovers, and anyone curious about the underwater world just south of Pattaya Beach.
Local Legends & Stories
The marine life rescue and rehabilitation program at Underwater World Pattaya works closely with local fishing communities to reintroduce injured marine animals back into the Gulf of Thailand The reef replicas were designed using coral samples collected under permits from the Department of Marine Resources to accurately represent coastal ecosystems near Trat and Ranong

Available Facilities
Perfect Timing
When to visit for the best experience
Morning sessions (9:00–11:00 AM) offer the calmest crowds and highest animal activity as fish are most active after feeding time Weekdays in the low season (May–October) mean shorter lines and more intimate encounters Avoid weekends and Thai public holidays when the attraction can get crowded, especially around lunchtime
Photography Guide
Capture the perfect shots
-
Position yourself near the Magic Tank’s viewing window around 10:30 AM for the best natural lighting and active fish
-
The ocean tunnel’s mid-point arch is ideal for panoramic shots with moving marine life
-
No flash photography is allowed anywhere to prevent stressing the animals
Cultural Etiquette
Respect local customs and traditions
Thai culture values respect and patience — always wait your turn at touch pools and feeding demonstrations Remove shoes before entering any temple areas in the adjacent facilities if you choose to visit Tipping is appreciated but not expected; a small thank-you note or kind words to staff goes a long way
Special Events & Experiences
Enhanced experiences and seasonal highlights
-
Seasonal Halloween-themed lighting and creature spotlights run from late October to early November
-
During Thai New Year (Songkran in April), special underwater-themed face painting and photo ops are offered daily
-
Weekend keeper Q&A sessions increase during peak tourist seasons (December–January and July–August)
Important Guidelines & Safety
Essential safety information and guidelines
-
Hold children’s hands tightly in the touch pool — the rocks are naturally uneven and can be slippery
-
Don’t tap on the glass or make loud noises near sensitive species like seahorses and rays
-
Drink plenty of water — the indoor humidity can be deceptive, especially for visitors new to tropical climates
