Flying Hanuman is an eco-adventure because it is part of the forest that surrounds it. Great care has been used to make sure the zip line adventure does not have a negative effect on the trees it uses and the species who call the area their home. It took hard work to put the course into place, but once it was done, the forest is what makes the attraction so special.

About Flying Hanuman
Flying Hanuman offers Phuket’s most thrilling zipline adventure through a rare 80,000-square-meter patch of untouched hillside jungle near Kathu. It’s more than just adrenaline—it’s a chance to glide between 42 platforms across 14 ziplines, cross sky bridges, and rappel down forested slopes while preserving the natural environment that locals have harvested for generations.
Local Legends & Stories
The name Flying Hanuman draws from the Hindu monkey god known for leaping across vast distances—fitting for a zipline course that mirrors his legendary agility. Locals say the hillside was once sacred ground for forest spirits, and the course avoids certain ancient tree clusters out of respect.
Must Do Experiences
-
Ride the dual zipline for an adrenaline-pumping side-by-side race through the canopy
-
Walk the 20-minute wilderness trail to appreciate the untouched rubber forest ecosystem
-
rappel down one of the two Abseil platforms for a descent into the forest ravine
Hidden Gems
-
The site is still used by local rubber tappers during the dry season—you might spot traditional tapping setups on the Ficus and rubber trees
-
A small seasonal creek flows during the wet months, adding a refreshing natural element to the route
-
The Sky Rail platform offers a peaceful, panoramic view rarely mentioned in brochures—perfect for quiet reflection or photos
What Makes it Special
-
Designed with zero-deforestation principles—every platform follows the natural tree canopy contour without clearing the forest
-
Locally employed guides with deep knowledge of regional flora, fauna, and jungle safety
-
A rare blend of adventure and conservation where 100% of profits support forest preservation and local communities
Available Facilities
Perfect Timing
When to visit for the best experience
The ideal time to visit is early morning (8:00–10:00) when the forest is misty, wildlife is most active, and lighting is perfect for photography. The dry season (November–April) offers clearer skies and drier trails, while the wet season (May–October) brings lush greenery and occasional waterfalls in the creek—just avoid heavy downpours between June and August.
Photography Guide
Capture the perfect shots
-
Capture the Dual Zipline mid-flight for dramatic side-by-side action shots—avoid midday sun to prevent overexposure
-
Shoot from Platform 42 (the final platform) looking back across the course—the canopy framing offers stunning jungle vistas
-
GoPro head mounts are allowed but tripods and selfie sticks are prohibited for safety
Cultural Etiquette
Respect local customs and traditions
Thais appreciate modesty, so cover shoulders and avoid revealing clothing even during physical activities Always remove shoes before entering the small local shrine near the registration area Tipping is not expected but appreciated—rounding up the final fee or leaving 10–20 THB per person for guides is customary
Special Events & Experiences
Enhanced experiences and seasonal highlights
-
During Songkran (mid-April), they host a jungle-themed water festival with traditional music and Thai舞蹈 near the cafe area
-
Year-round, they occasionally offer moonlight zipline sessions (advance booking required) during full moon weekends in the dry season
Important Guidelines & Safety
Essential safety information and guidelines
-
The zipline equipment is inspected daily and certified by Thailand’s Department of Industrial Inspection—never bypass safety checks
-
Stay hydrated and watch for signs of heat exhaustion; shaded rest points are provided every 5 platforms
-
Follow guide instructions precisely on rappel techniques—abseiling requires controlled descent to avoid friction burns
Visitor Information
Entry Fee
Ticket price includes land transfer within Kathu zone, gear rental, full safety briefing, and a light meal—no hidden fees. Children under 7 are not permitted, and those aged 7–12 receive a discounted rate with adult supervision
Visit Duration
Plan for 2.5 to 3 hours total—the zipline circuit takes about 60–75 minutes, plus 20 minutes for the wilderness walk and 30 minutes for gear and briefing. If short on time, prioritize the zipline circuit and end with the Sky Rail platform photo op, skipping optional detours
Accessibility
The terrain is naturally uneven and involves stairs and narrow paths, so full wheelchair access is not possible. However, guests with limited mobility can still enjoy select platforms via a dedicated ramp and assistive guide support where terrain allows

Notes
Overview
Phuket’s Best Zipline Adventure Zipline from tree to tree in a rare piece of Phuket wilderness Flying Hanuman is an adventure like no other on Phuket. It shows that the island’s beauty goes far beyond the sea, sun and sand that it is famous for. The hillsides of Phuket overflow with thick forest that is great for exploration and outdoor activities. What Flying Hanuman aimed to achieve was to provide travellers with exceptional service, enjoyment, excitement and memories without impacting the natural balance within the forest environment surrounding it. There is no better way to take in the other face of the Pearl of the Andaman. Eco Adventure The site of Flying Hanuman stands almost exactly as it did before construction began. A wide variety of trees and small animals occupy the 80,000 square meter plot, and the natural rubber trees are harvested by locals who are still allowed to live on the hillside. A small creek runs through the land during the wet months and even the trees within Flying Hanuman’s reception area have been left untouched.
