Overview

Ten minutes from the theme parks, in a stand of Florida pines, an aerial obstacle course is strung between the trunks — rope bridges, cargo nets, swinging logs, wobbling planks and ziplines running from platform to platform high above the forest floor.

Four courses climb in difficulty. The lowest is a gentle introduction a few feet up; the highest is genuinely demanding, both physically and in terms of nerve, with long crossings and drops that make you stop and think. A continuous belay keeps you attached the whole way, so there is nothing to clip or unclip.

It is real exertion rather than a ride — two or three hours of climbing, balancing and hauling yourself along, with your own pace to set and your own route to choose. A separate junior course lets smaller children do the same thing closer to the ground.
