First time planning a trip to Vietnam so still figuring out best time of year to visit Phong Nha for the caves and jungle treks.

February to April is ideal: dry, warm (25–30°C) and the caves are at their most accessible. Avoid June to August when heavy rain can flood the Son Doong and Tu Lan tour sections. Even in dry season, pack quick-dry layers because the caves are humid and the jungle is muddy.
