Hoi An vs Da Nang for a 5-day stay? Which is better as a base for exploring the central coast?

Hoi An is prettier and walkable with incredible food, but Da Nang has better beaches and easier transport connections. I'd base in Da Nang and day-trip to Hoi An—it gives you the best of both worlds without repacking.
