How do I handle haggling in Moroccan souks?

Haggling is expected and considered part of the culture, not rude. Start at about 40% of the asking price and negotiate with a smile. Walk away if the price isn't right — vendors often call you back with a better offer. Set a maximum budget before you start shopping to avoid overspending.
