Is Georgia safe for solo female travelers?

Georgia is consistently rated as one of the safest countries in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus for solo female travelers. Locals are incredibly welcoming and will often go out of their way to help. That said, standard precautions like avoiding poorly lit areas at night still apply, especially in Tbilisi's nightlife districts.
