Bring a buff or scarf even in summer—sand gets everywhere and protects against sun and wind. A power bank is essential since camps have no electricity. Wear closed-toe shoes despite the heat; flip-flops fill with sand constantly. Lip balm and moisturizer are must-haves—desert air is brutally dry.
