Available Facilities
Perfect Timing
When to visit for the best experience
The best time to visit is either early morning right at opening for a peaceful soak or late evening after 21:00 to unwind before bed. Since Okinawa enjoys a subtropical climate, the outdoor baths are particularly delightful during the cooler winter months or on breezy summer evenings. Weekday mornings offer the lowest crowd levels, ensuring a more private and serene hot spring experience.
Photography Guide
Capture the perfect shots
-
Photography is strictly prohibited inside the bathing and changing areas to respect the privacy of all guests.
-
Capture the beautiful tropical architecture and lush landscaping in the hotel's public lobby and garden areas before or after your soak.
-
If the spa has a designated relaxation lounge with scenic views, use the soft natural window light for great candid family portraits.
Cultural Etiquette
Respect local customs and traditions
In Japanese hot spring culture, it is mandatory to wash your body completely while seated on the provided stools before entering the shared baths. Small modesty towels can be used while walking around but must never be submerged in the hot spring water. Tipping is not practiced in Japan, and maintaining a quiet, respectful demeanor is highly appreciated by locals and staff alike.
Special Events & Experiences
Enhanced experiences and seasonal highlights
-
During the winter months, the spa often features special yuzu or citrus-infused baths to celebrate the winter solstice and boost immunity.
-
In summer, cooling mint or herbal baths may be introduced to provide a refreshing contrast to Okinawa's tropical heat.
-
Golden Week in late April and Obon in mid-August are peak travel seasons, so expect higher local visitor volumes during these times.
Important Guidelines & Safety
Essential safety information and guidelines
-
Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water before and after your bath, as the hot water can cause rapid fluid loss.
-
Limit your soaking time to 10-15 minutes per session to avoid dizziness or overheating, especially for children and the elderly.
-
Use the handrails when entering and exiting the baths, as the wet tile floors can be extremely slippery.
Visitor Information
Entry Fee
Your booking includes the Apeman Spa natural hot spring entry fee with bathing tax fully covered, along with a child meal package. This bundled pricing offers excellent value for families, eliminating the need to pay for basic entry and kids' dining separately on-site.
Visit Duration
Plan to spend about 1.5 to 2 hours to fully enjoy the washing ritual, multiple bath cycles, and the included family meal. If you are short on time, prioritize the open-air rotenburo and the main therapeutic jet baths for the most impactful relaxation.
Accessibility
The facility is generally wheelchair accessible with ramps and elevators available within YUINCHI HOTEL南城, though the wet bathing areas require careful navigation. Accessible restrooms and priority seating are available in the public and dining areas for guests with special needs.
