What to expect
The Tokyo Skytree is a towering broadcasting and observation tower located in Tokyo, Japan. It is the tallest tower in the world, standing at a height of 634 meters (2,080 feet), and it is the second-tallest structure in the world after the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. The Skytree was completed in 2011 and officially opened to the public on May 22 of that year. The Skytree was constructed to serve as a digital broadcasting tower for the Tokyo area and was built to withstand earthquakes and other natural disasters. It also serves as a tourist attraction, with two observation decks that offer breathtaking views of Tokyo and the surrounding areas. The Tembo Deck is located at a height of 350 meters (1,150 feet), and the Tembo Galleria is located at a height of 450 meters (1,480 feet). Visitors can take high-speed elevators to reach the observation decks, which feature glass floors and panoramic views of the city. The lower observation deck has a capacity of up to 2,000 people, and the upper deck can accommodate up to 900 people. The tower also has a shopping complex, restaurants, and a planetarium located at its base. The Tokyo Skytree has become an iconic landmark in Japan and is a popular destination for both tourists and locals alike. It has won several awards for its innovative design and engineering and is considered one of the most impressive structures in the world.
