Shou Shan Zoo is located on a hillside in Kaohsiung and can be accessed via city bus from MRT Yanchengpu Station. The zoo area and its surroundings are inhabited by wild Formosan rock macaques, so visitors are advised to keep food concealed in bags to prevent the monkeys from approaching. The facility features paved pathways and an elevated walkway that provide wheelchair and stroller accessibility across the different animal enclosures.
