Frequently Asked Questions
About Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts

The Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts is located in Gushan District, northeast of Shoushan Mountain, with Zuoying District to the north, Sanmin District to the east, and the Love River flowing through it to the south. The Neiweipi Wetland, once a site dotted with ponds, was transformed into the first public art museum in southern Taiwan and has become a premier center for art exhibitions and promotion in southern Taiwan.

In 2017, it was restructured into a professional cultural institution under the administrative body Kaohsiung City, continuing to cultivate local culture and collect works by Taiwanese artists. Every year, it supports emerging artists by holding the "Kaohsiung Award" and "KS Kaohsiung Experimental Field" competitions. In addition to planning thematic exhibitions and artist research exhibitions, it is also committed to collaborating and exchanging with museums around the world, introducing various types of large-scale international exhibitions, and providing the public with a wider range of diverse options for visiting modern and contemporary art.
