Available Facilities
Perfect Timing
When to visit for the best experience
Morning classes (09:30–13:30) are ideal for avoiding Bangkok's afternoon heat and crowds, offering a fresher market experience. The school operates year-round, but weekdays tend to be quieter than weekends, especially outside Thai school holidays. Plan for slightly cooler indoor cooking environment compared to Silom's humid outdoors.
Photography Guide
Capture the perfect shots
-
Capture vibrant market ingredients under natural morning light before 11:00 for the best colour saturation
-
Photography is encouraged during cooking and plating, but avoid flash near the kitchen station
-
Take your final dish photo before lunch — natural light from the dining area windows works well
Cultural Etiquette
Respect local customs and traditions
Always use your right hand or both hands when passing or receiving items — the left hand is considered unclean in Thai culture Remove shoes before entering any domestic-style kitchen or living space, though most cooking classes use open-style areas Tipping is optional but appreciated if your instructor provided exceptional service
Special Events & Experiences
Enhanced experiences and seasonal highlights
-
During Thai festivals like Songkran (mid-April) and Loy Krathong (November), the school sometimes hosts themed class menus celebrating regional specialities
-
Year-round, the menu rotates seasonally based on local ingredient availability — try to book early for guaranteed access to your preferred dishes
Important Guidelines & Safety
Essential safety information and guidelines
-
Kitchen surfaces and knives are shared — pay close attention during demonstration and ask for help when handling sharp tools
-
Thai ingredients like chillies may cause irritation — notify your instructor if you have sensitive skin or allergies
-
The kitchen is well-ventilated, but those with respiratory sensitivities may want to bring light masks during spice demos
Visitor Information
Entry Fee
The class fee covers all ingredients, market tour, lunch, recipe book, and beverages — no hidden costs beyond optional tips Children under 12 may attend with a supervising adult, though the class is tailored for teens and adults No senior discounts are listed publicly — inquire directly for group or special occasion pricing
Visit Duration
Plan for approximately 4 hours — morning classes run 09:30 to 13:30, afternoon 15:00 to 19:00. If short on time, prioritise the market tour and hands-on cooking portion, as lunch and recipe delivery are integral to the experience
Accessibility
The school is located on ground level with no stairs, but Soi Silom 13 has uneven pavement and motorbike traffic — wheelchairs may face mobility challenges Indoor cooking stations are standard and not specifically adapted for wheelchair users — contact the school directly for special accommodations
