Do you need a visa for Iran?
Travellers from Visa-free (15 days, tourism, air arrival, once per 6 months): Singapore, Malaysia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Lebanon, Türkiye (90), Russia (group tours), Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Brunei, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia, Serbia, Croatia, Mauritania, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Venezuela, Cuba etc. India: REMOVED from list Nov 2025. can generally enter Iran without a visa. An e-Visa is available — Indians apply online at Iran's official MFA e-visa portal (evisa.mfa.ir / evisatraveller.mfa.ir), which issues either a grant-notice for pickup at an Iranian mission OR a Visa on Arrival grant to collect at the airport (authorization code valid 85 days). Passport must have 6+ months validity. Note: an Israeli stamp bars entry, and Iran issues no stamp on entry for many nationalities.. Indian and most foreign passport holders (tourist category)
