Malawi visa — frequently asked questions

Yes. Indian citizens are a Category One nationality and must obtain a Malawi eVisa online before travelling; there is no visa on arrival for them.
evisa.gov.mw is the only official Malawi eVisa portal, run by the Department of Immigration.
USD 75 single entry, USD 150 for a 6-month multiple entry, and USD 250 for a 12-month multiple entry.
Applications are generally processed within about three working days.
Malawi strictly enforces a 6-month passport validity rule from the date of entry; otherwise you can be denied boarding.
The tourist visa permits stays of up to 30 days per entry.
Singapore passport holders are generally visa-exempt for Malawi tourism and do not need the eVisa; confirm current status before travel.
