It also allows users to use services from major airports; you may hop-on to Narita Express & Haruka Express which connect you from the Narita International Airport to Tokyo city centre & Kansai International Airport to Osaka & Kyoto. Besides JR trains, pass holders can also take JR buses & JR-West ferry with this pass.
There are Green Cars & Ordinary Cars to choose from - Green Cars are the first-class services, users can expect a more spacious & comfortable seats. Green Car fee is also higher than Ordinary Car, so you may expect it to be less crowded.

- You must present your Exchange Order with your passport at any of the located in airports and main train stations. A confirmation email and Globaltix voucher cannot be used to redeem JR Passes
- You can only redeem your own JR Pass. You cannot redeem Exchange Orders named under another person
- Exchange Orders are valid only for 90 days from the issued date. Please redeem within 90 days from the issued date
- Important: You must select an activation date during redemption. The activation date must be within 30 days from redemption. Once activated, the JR Pass is valid only for 7, 14, or 21 consecutive days within one month. To board a train, show it to the staff at the ticket gate
- Seat Reservation Process: Reservations can be made at the ticket office through rail staff and Seat reservations are only available after you have redeemed your JR Pass
- Children policy: 6-11 years old
- Children under 6 years old can enter with a JR Pass for free.

The Japan Rail Pass provides access to the majority of Japan Railways (JR) networks, including Shinkansen, limited express, and local train services for 7, 14, or 21 consecutive days. This service provides an Exchange Order (MCO) delivered exclusively to addresses in Indonesia, which must be presented at a JR Exchange Office in Japan along with a passport showing a "Temporary Visitor" visa status. Pass holders may choose between Ordinary or Green Class carriages and are eligible to make seat reservations at JR ticket offices or automated machines.
Most major JR stations and Shinkansen trains are fully equipped with elevators, tactile paving, and accessible restrooms to accommodate wheelchair users and travellers with mobility issues.
