Overview
This is the only theme park on earth built entirely around Sesame Street, and it shows in every detail — the main street is a recreation of the neighbourhood itself, and Elmo, Big Bird, Cookie Monster and Abby appear throughout the day for photographs, hugs and a full parade down the middle of it.
Everything is scaled for small children. There is a family coaster, gentle spinning rides and an enormous net-and-slide climbing structure on the dry side, while the water park half carries a wave pool, a lazy river, splash zones and slides shallow and slow enough for beginners.
Live shows run on a regular timetable, with singing, dancing and characters at close range. The park is also a Certified Autism Center, with quiet rooms, low-sensory spaces and a ride-by-ride sensory guide — a thoughtful touch that makes the day workable for families who need it.
